Aileen M. Cannon is an associate in the Washington, D.C. office of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher. She practices in the Firm’s Litigation Department and is a member of its Securities Enforcement, Securities Litigation, Appellate and Constitutional Law, and Government and Commercial Contracts practice groups. She has represented clients in proceedings before federal, appellate and trial courts, the Securities and Exchange Commission, and the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority in cases involving securities regulation, the False Claims Act, the Federal Acquisition Regulation, the Patent Act, and the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act.
Prior to joining the firm in 2009, Ms. Cannon served as a law clerk to the Honorable Steven M. Colloton of the United States Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit. In 2007, she graduated magna cum laude from the University of Michigan Law School, where she served as Article Editor of the University of Michigan Journal of Law Reform and was elected to the Order of the Coif. Ms. Cannon graduated from Duke University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Public Policy Studies.
Ms. Cannon is licensed to practice in California, the District of Columbia, and before the United States Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit and the United States Court of Federal Claims. She is fluent in Spanish.
