Adam Wolf is an associate in Gibson Dunn’s New York office and a member of the firm’s Litigation Department.  His practice focuses on global anti-corruption matters and complex civil litigation.

Mr. Wolf regularly counsels major financial institutions and other international companies regarding their anti-corruption compliance programs and controls.  He has drafted policies and procedures to ensure compliance with the U.S. Foreign Corrupt Practices Act and other countries’ anti-corruption statutes such as the recently enacted U.K. Bribery Act, created anti-corruption employee training materials, and trained at-risk employees on the FCPA and its pitfalls.  Mr. Wolf also routinely advises on anti-corruption due diligence in connection with corporate acquisitions, private equity investments and other business transactions.

Mr. Wolf has held leadership positions on multiple worldwide FCPA internal investigations, for which he has drafted detailed work plans, interviewed witnesses on five continents, and met with the Department of Justice and the Securities and Exchange Commission.  Currently, Mr. Wolf is the lead associate and is helping to manage the FCPA compliance monitorship of a major international company in connection with its settlements with the DOJ and SEC.

Mr. Wolf also has substantial experience representing sophisticated clients in complex, multi-party cases.  He was the lead associate representing The Bank of New York Mellon in litigation related to the collapse of Adelphia Communications Corporation, and he was a member of the team that successfully defended Citigroup in a class-action securities case stemming from the collapse of the Italian dairy company Parmalat.

Throughout his career, Mr. Wolf has remained committed to pro bono work.  He has handled several criminal appeals, including a murder case, for the Kings County District Attorney’s Office.  He has written briefs on behalf of the People of the State of New York and successfully argued on multiple occasions before the Appellate Division, where he has won a unanimous verdict.

Mr. Wolf graduated cum laude from Brooklyn Law School, where he was a notes and comments editor of the Brooklyn Law Review.  He received his Bachelor of Arts degree in History from Brown University.

Mr. Wolf is admitted to practice in the State of New York and the

United States District Court for the Southern District of New York.
