Benyamin Ross is an associate in the Los Angeles office of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher, and a member of the Corporate Transactions, Mergers and Acquisitions, Strategic Sourcing and Technology Transactions, and Media, Entertainment, and Technology Practice Groups. Mr. Ross’s practice encompasses a broad range of corporate and technology transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, equity investments, and general commercial transactions, with a concentration in advising media, entertainment and technology companies.
Mr. Ross has represented, among other clients: - A Fortune 500 company in its sale of a ticketing software solutions firm.
- A service provider to the entertainment industry in its entry into the 3D marketplace and divesture of its digital cinema operations.
- A private equity fund in its acquisition of a boutique hotel operator.
- A bankrupt RV and housing company in the sale of its IT operations to a service provider.
- A film studio in negotiating the outsourcing of its finance and accounting, IT infrastructure, applications development and maintenance, and service desk operations.
- An entertainment and music recording company in the negotiation of various investments and joint ventures.
- An aerospace component manufacturer in its acquisition of a competitor.
- A semiconductor company in its carve out asset acquisition of the consumer products group of a Fortune 500 company.
- A health device company in the $1 billion unwinding of its merger with a Fortune 500 company.
- A private equity fund in its acquisition of an online marketing firm.
- A Fortune 50 company in its complex, $12.7 billion joint bid with a cable operator to acquire the assets of bankrupt cable operator.
Prior to joining Gibson Dunn, Mr. Ross was associated with the firm Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison LLP in New York City and clerked for Chancellor William B. Chandler III, of the Delaware Court of Chancery. Mr. Ross received his law degree from New York University School of Law in 2004, where he was a staff editor on the Annual Survey of American Law and a recipient of the Vanderbilt Medal and the President's Service Award for achievements and public service. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy from Princeton University, graduating magna cum laude.
