Jonathan P. Goodman is an associate in the Washington, D.C. office of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher, where he is a member of the Corporate Transactions and Investment Funds practice groups. Mr. Goodman’s practice focuses on the establishment and operation of private investment funds, including private equity funds, funds of funds, hedge funds and real estate funds. Mr. Goodman also has broad experience representing public and private companies in mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, equity and debt offerings and securities law compliance.
Prior to joining Gibson Dunn in 2007, Mr. Goodman practiced law as a corporate associate with Cravath, Swaine & Moore LLP in New York and London. Mr. Goodman is the co-author with Stephen I. Glover of "Go-Shops Follow-Up: Lear & Topps Decisions Hone Delaware Courts' View" published in the July/August 2007 issue of The M&A Lawyer and "Go-Shops: Are They Here to Stay?" published in the June 2007 issue of The M&A Lawyer.
Mr. Goodman graduated magna cum laude from the Georgetown University Law Center in 2003 and was elected to the Order of the Coif. He received Bachelor of Arts degrees in Japanese and Political Science from the University of Wisconsin at Madison. Mr. Goodman is fluent in Japanese.
