Omar Samji is an associate in the Los Angeles office of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher and a member of the firm’s Corporate Transactions, Emerging Technologies, Energy and Infrastructure, Private Equity, and Mergers and Acquisitions practice groups.
Mr. Samji advises companies as well as private equity and venture capital firms on a wide range of corporate, investment and financing transactions in the energy, renewable energy/clean tech, high technology and infrastructure sectors. He has also advised on numerous transactions in the telecommunications, transportation, aerospace, gaming, consumer products, financial services and real estate industries.
Mr. Samji has substantial experience advising both acquirors/investors and target companies in connection with stock and asset sales, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and strategic partnerships, corporate finance (equity and debt), investment fund formation and operation, corporate governance and general business matters.
Mr. Samji is admitted to practice law in New York and California. He received his law degree from Columbia Law School, where he was a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar. He received his Bachelor of Commerce degree from McGill University.
Mr. Samji is a member of the Los Angeles County Bar Association and currently serves as a volunteer member of the Ismaili Conciliation and Arbitration Board.
