Scott A. Fink, a partner in Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher's San Francisco office, joined the firm in September 1987.  A member of the firm's Litigation Department, Mr. Fink specializes in business litigation with an emphasis on accountants' liability and securities litigation.  He also has experience in class action, antitrust, insurance, bankruptcy, age discrimination and general commercial litigation.

Mr. Fink has represented clients in a number of significant matters, including Big Four accounting firms in numerous securities, professional malpractice and RICO actions and in SEC investigations, local and national companies (and their officers and directors) in securities actions, underwriting firms in governmental investigations and "deepening insolvency" actions, lenders and unsecured creditors in bankruptcy litigation, an international airline in age discrimination actions, and a major apparel manufacturer in a series of antitrust actions throughout the U.S.

Mr. Fink graduated with distinction from Stanford University in 1974 with a bachelor's degree in psychology.  In 1978, he received his law degree from the University of Michigan Law School, where he was a member of the Order of the Coif and a recipient of the Henry M. Bates Scholarship Award, given to the five outstanding members of his graduating class.

A member of the American Bar Association, the Bar Association of San Francisco and the Association of Business Trial Lawyers of Northern California, Mr. Fink has been admitted to practice in the state of California, as well as before the U.S. Supreme Court, the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, and the U.S. District Courts for the Northern, Eastern, Central and Southern Districts of California.  He is a member of the Board of Directors of the Legal Aid Society of San Francisco.
