Steven K. Talley is a partner in Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher’s Denver office. He is a member of the Corporate Transactions Practice Group. He works primarily in the areas of public and private mergers and acquisitions and corporate finance transactions.
Mr. Talley represents a number of corporations and private equity clients in connection with acquisitions, dispositions, and financings. These transactions have involved both public and private entities in industries including: energy, telecommunications, high tech, and manufacturing. Mr. Talley has also advised both underwriters and issuers in public offerings of debt and equity securities. Mr. Talley has been listed in Chambers USA: America's Leading Lawyers for Business each year since 2006 and was recognized in the PLC Which Lawyer Yearbook 2009 for his M&A achievements.
Mr. Talley received his law degree in 1991 from Boalt Hall School of Law at the University of California at Berkeley, where he was a member of the Order of the Coif and an Articles Editor on the High Technology Law Journal. He received a bachelor of science degree in physics from Harvey Mudd College in 1984. In addition, he has taken a significant number of graduate-level economics courses at the Claremont Graduate School. Prior to attending law school, Mr. Talley was the manager of management information systems for a manufacturing company.
