Gibson Dunn Appoints New Co-Partner-in-Charge of the Orange County Office 

Irvine, Calif. – Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP is pleased to announce that Jeffrey Reeves has been named as the Co-Partner-in-Charge of the firm's Orange County office, effective immediately. Reeves joins Jeffrey Thomas, current Partner-in-Charge, in leading the office.

About Jeffrey H. Reeves

Reeves is a member of the firm's Litigation, Securities, Media & Entertainment, and Class Action and Complex Litigation Practice Groups. He has handled all sorts of business litigation cases, including consumer and securities fraud class action cases, unfair competition, theft of trade secrets, auditing malpractice, accounting malpractice, Indian gaming, entertainment litigation and intellectual property matters. He is currently representing Grateful Dead Productions and a number of other rock and roll music icons as plaintiffs in federal court litigation asserting claims regarding the alleged unauthorized exploitation of artists' rights of publicity and other intellectual property rights.

Active in the community, Reeves is a member of United Way's Tocqueville Society, serves on the Board of the United Cerebral Palsy Association of Orange County, is President Emeritus of the Constitutional Rights Foundation of Orange County and secretary to the Board of the Orange County Youth Sports Foundation, which provides scholarships to deserving Orange County high school scholar athletes.

He is also active in a number of professional organizations. Reeves is a past President of the Federal Bar Association of Orange County and is currently serving a three-year term on the Federal Bar Association's national Government Relations Committee in Washington D.C. He is a member of the Board of Governors of the Association of Business Trial Lawyers, Orange County Chapter, and a member of the Orange County Bar Association.

Reeves graduated cum laude from the University of Houston Law Center in 1991 and served as Research Editor for the Houston Law Review.
