Gibson Dunn Appoints New Co-Partners-in-Charge of the D.C. Office

Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP is pleased to announce that Arthur Pasternak and Karen Manos have been selected as the new Co-Partners-in-Charge of the firm's Washington, D.C. office effective immediately.  They replace partners Stephanie Tsacoumis and Mark Perry, who have stepped down and will continue with their legal practices.

"We welcome Art and Karen in their new leadership roles and look forward to working with them in this capacity," said Ken Doran, Managing Partner of Gibson Dunn.  "Stephanie and Mark have done an excellent job serving as the face and voice of the D.C. office, and we thank them for their commitment and efforts to lead our D.C. office."

"The DC office has enjoyed strong growth, expanding by 23 percent to 154 lawyers over the last five years," said Pasternak, Co-Partner-in-Charge of the D.C. office.  "We look forward to serving as resources and guides for the office during this time of growth."

In addition to associate growth, Gibson Dunn's D.C. office has attracted several high-profile laterals in the last two years, including Lewis Ferguson, former general counsel of the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB); Barry Goldsmith, former head of enforcement at the National Association of Securities Dealers (NASD now known as FINRA); and Susan Grafton, former associate general counsel of Goldman, Sachs & Co.

"We hope to continue to distinguish the D.C. office in the legal community, while maintaining our commitment to our public service duty to the community," said Manos Co-Partner-in-Charge of the D.C. office.  "We have a strong and consistent passion for providing high-quality legal services, including pro bono."
