Patent Litigator Joins Gibson Dunn in New York 

Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP is pleased to announce that Benjamin Hershkowitz has joined the firm in New York as a partner. Previously with Goodwin Procter, Hershkowitz focuses his practice on intellectual property litigation, particularly patent infringement litigation matters in the high-technology sector.

About Benjamin Hershkowitz

Hershkowitz practices intellectual property litigation with a particular emphasis on patent litigation. He also has substantial experience with copyright, trademark, trade secret, unfair competition and computer fraud matters. He has experience with a wide variety of technologies, including telecommunications, computer software and hardware, consumer electronics, electromechanical devices, business methods and polymers/chemicals. A frequent author on patent law issues, he serves as editor-in-chief of Patent Strategy & Management.

Hershkowitz was previously a partner with Goodwin Procter, and before that, he was a partner with Kenyon & Kenyon. He is a member of the American Intellectual Property Law Association, the New York Intellectual Property Law Association and the Institute of Electronic and Electrical Engineers.

He received his J.D. from New York University in 1993, where he was Science Editor of the Environmental Law Journal. He received his B.S.E.E. from Rutgers University, College of Engineering, where he graduated with highest honors.
