Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP is pleased to announce that Robert Hubbell will join the firm's Los Angeles office as a partner. He has over 20 years of experience in the areas of accountants' liability, securities litigation and securities enforcement. Hubbell was formerly with Heller Ehrman.
"Rob is a seasoned trial lawyer who will be an excellent addition to the firm," said Ken Doran, Managing Partner of Gibson Dunn. "He has a superb reputation in both the legal and business communities. Our securities litigation, accounting malpractice and securities enforcement practices are extremely busy, and Rob's addition is the most recent step in our effort to expand capacity in these areas to better serve our clients."
In recent months, Gibson Dunn has recruited three other partners in securities litigation and enforcement and accountants’ liability, including Mark Schonfeld, the former Director of the SEC New York Regional Office; and Charles Jaeger and George Brown from Heller Ehrman.
"Rob is a seasoned securities litigator, with significant trial experience and his addition will deepen the bench in the securities and accountants’ liability arenas," said Peter Ziegler, Co-Partner in Charge of the Los Angeles office. "Gibson Dunn has successfully represented all of the Big Four accounting firms, and Rob’s arrival will help us further strengthen those relationships."
"Gibson Dunn has both a very collegial culture and a stellar litigation platform, both of which are very attractive to me," said Hubbell. "I know the lawyers at Gibson Dunn very well, and I look forward to working together with my new colleagues."
