James Barabas is an English qualified partner in the London office of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher.
Mr. Barabas has extensive experience in UK City Code governed public takeovers and schemes, and private mergers and acquisitions for a mixture of corporate and private equity clients. Mr. Barabas also regularly advises on corporate restructurings and refinancings, joint ventures and corporate governance matters. Much of Mr. Barabas' practice is cross-border in nature.
Mr. Barabas works across a variety of sectors including energy and natural resources, real estate, retail, and general industrial. Mr. Barabas is also recognised for his particular expertise in the financial institutions sector and has advised on a number of deals involving insurers and asset managers. He is recommended in the field of Corporate/M&A by UK Legal Experts 2011 and in M&A by UK Legal 500 2010.
Prior to joining Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher in 2006, Mr. Barabas practised for eight years with a Magic Circle firm in London. |
