Joerg Esdorn is a partner in Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher’s New York office. He serves as a Co-chair of the firm’s Global Finance Group, and is also a member of the Fashion, Retail and Consumer Products Practice Group. He received the equivalent of a master's degree in process engineering from the Technical University of Munich, Germany, in 1981 and his J.D. from The University of Chicago Law School in 1985. He focuses on the representation of providers of capital and issuers/borrowers in leveraged finance transactions, convertible debt offerings and restructurings. His experience includes leveraged loans, high yield notes, mezzanine debt as well as exchange offers and consent solicitations, DIP loans and exit financings.
Mr. Esdorn is consistently ranked among the top Banking & Finance lawyers in New York by Chambers USA: America's Leading Lawyers for Business and International Financial Law Review.
Mr. Esdorn is a member of the Trust Indentures Committee of the American Bar Association. He is fluent in German.
