Lora A. Cicconi

Lora Cicconi is an associate in the Los Angeles office of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher.  She currently practices in the firm's Tax Department.

Ms. Cicconi served as a law clerk to The Honorable Cynthia Holcomb Hall of the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit from 2007 to 2008.  She earned her law degree in 2007 from the University of California at Los Angeles School of Law, where she was elected to Order of the Coif.  While at UCLA, she served as a Senior Editor of the UCLA Law Review, and was the recipient of the Bruce I. Hochman Award for Excellence in Tax Law.  Ms Cicconi received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Stanford University in 2000.  Before law school, she worked in investment banking and finance.

Ms. Cicconi is the author of How Far Do Child Savings Accounts Stray from the Tax Code?, 34 Ohio N.U. L. Rev. 17 (2008), Blaming the Tax Code for the Backdating Scandal, 114 Tax Notes 1129 (Mar. 19, 2007), and An Examination of Gender-based Tax Reform in Light of New Data on Female Labor Supply, 42 Gonz. L. Rev. 257 (2007).

Ms. Cicconi is admitted to practice in the State of California.
