Renee M. Strandness is an associate in the Washington, D.C. office of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP, where she is a member of the firm's Corporate Department. Her practice focuses on mergers and acquisitions, capital markets and other corporate transactions, as well as general corporate matters, including securities law compliance and corporate governance. Ms. Strandness received her law degree from Stanford Law School, where she served as an Executive Editor of the Stanford Law Review and as a Senior Editor of the Stanford Law & Policy Review. She received the Hilmer Oehlmann, Jr. Award for Excellence in Legal Writing and graduated with pro bono distinction. Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Strandness served as a law clerk for the Honorable Julia Smith Gibbons of the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit. Ms. Strandness graduated summa cum laude with High Honors in History from Vanderbilt University in 2004. Ms. Strandness is a member of the bars of California and the District of Columbia. |
