Travis Davis is an associate in the New York office of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher where he is a member of the Firm's Corporate Transactions Practice, focusing on mergers and acquisitions and other corporate transactions for the firm’s corporate, private equity and banking clients. Mr. Davis’s representations have included mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, spin-offs, joint ventures, restructurings and recapitalizations.
In addition, Mr. Davis advises corporations, their boards of directors and special board committees in connection with corporate governance and compliance matters, takeover preparedness and other corporate matters. He also represents various major investment banks as financial advisors in M&A transactions, and hedge funds in their M&A activities.
Mr. Davis has also counseled private investment funds and advisors in the impact investing field on securities and other general corporate matters.
Mr. Davis earned his Juris Doctor from Columbia Law School in 2008, where he was a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar and a member of the Columbia Business Law Review. He earned Bachelor of Arts degrees in both Accounting and Economics from the University of Washington in 2003.
Before attending law school, Mr. Davis was a licensed CPA and an auditor with a public accounting firm.
