Three Partners Named Attorneys of the Year
The Recorder named partners Theodore J. Boutrous, Jr., Scott Edelman and Andrea Neuman to its inaugural 2009 Attorneys of the Year list, honoring 16 "practicing lawyers who made big headlines through the achievement of tangible results for a client in California during the last year." Boutrous, Edelman and Neuman were recognized for their work for Dole Food Co. persuading a Los Angeles judge to dismiss two of the leading toxic tort cases against Dole after finding that the plaintiffs and their lawyers committed fraud and putting into serious doubt the validity of $2 billion in judgments rendered against Dole prior to Gibson Dunn’s involvement in dozens of similar suits. The list is featured in the February 22, 2010 issue.
