The Firm provides our clients a wide range of regulatory services. Our regulatory practice provides businesses with ongoing counsel in a large number of areas, including environmental rules and regulations, securities regulation, banking, thrift and diversified financial firm regulation, Hart-Scott-Rodino filings, regulation of communications, restructuring of health and pension benefits, OSHA standards, ERISA issues, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Family and Medical Leave Act, and Wage and Hour laws, tax laws, recapitalization and restructuring financial institutions, and qualification for benefits under the United States-Canada, United States-Israel and North American Free Trade Agreements.

In addition, federal laws have enforcement provisions, backed by substantial penalties, enabling the government to bring administrative proceedings and civil and criminal enforcement actions. Thus businesses may find themselves in negotiations with the government in the context of penalty assessments and compliance orders as well as actual litigation. Our attorneys represent clients in connection with such governmental enforcement actions in all areas of federal activity.
