The New York Law Journal has named Barbara Becker as a Distinguished Leader at its annual Professional Excellence Awards, honoring the “best and the brightest in New York’s legal community.” Additionally, Saee Muzumdar was named a Diversity Initiative finalist. The awards were presented on September 5, 2024.

Barbara Becker is the seventh Chair and Managing Partner in the firm’s 134-year history. Prior to becoming the firm’s Chair and Managing Partner, Barbara served as Co-Chair of Gibson Dunn’s Mergers and Acquisitions Practice Group for over a decade and also created and led the firmwide Diversity Committee.

Saee Muzumdar is Co-Chair of the firm’s Mergers and Acquisitions Practice Group. Her practice includes representing both strategic companies and private equity clients (including their portfolio companies) in connection with all aspects of their domestic and cross-border M&A activities and general corporate counseling.
