Law360 has named seven Gibson Dunn partners among its 2014 MVPs, which recognizes “elite attorneys” who have had “successes in high-stakes litigation, record-breaking deals and complex global matters.” MVPs were selected from hundreds of nominations, and Gibson Dunn was one of three law firms with the most lawyers selected for the honor. The firm’s MVPs are: Mark Perry – Appellate, Geoffrey Sigler – Healthcare, Orin Snyder – Media & Entertainment, Drew Flowers – Real Estate, Thad Davis and Michael Li-Ming Wong – Securities, and Joel Cohen – White Collar. IFLR named Gibson Dunn as the Pro Bono Law Firm of the Year at its annual Middle East Awards. Gibson Dunn founded and has coordinated a free, non-denominational advice clinic in Dubai. The clinic was the first of its kind that is open to all-comers in the region. Volunteer lawyers advise on questions relating to immigration, financial issues, labour and employment, landlord/tenant and others. The clinic has expanded since its inception and now includes practical advice for job seekers as well as some basic on-site medical care. The award was presented on October 15, 2014.
