Marquart, who was most recently a litigation associate in the firm’s Los Angeles office, will manage and coordinate Gibson Dunn’s pro bono efforts on a firmwide level. Bergsieker joins the firm’s litigation and white collar practices.Before joining Gibson Dunn, Bergsieker served as an Assistant United States Attorney in the District of Colorado. During that time, he coordinated the District’s computer hacking prosecutions, advised federal agencies on electronic surveillance law, and investigated and prosecuted a wide range of crimes, including computer intrusions, denial of service attacks, theft of proprietary business information, identity theft, pharmaceutical misbranding, wire fraud, mail fraud and murder.
