Based in Los Angeles or Orange County, the Accounting Analyst will be an integral part of the accounting department.

This role reports to the Asst. Manager, Accounting.

Responsibilities include:

  • Support the month-end and year-end close process;
  • Analyze variances of actual financial results to prior periods and budget;
  • Provide support for financial statement, tax, and compliance audits;
  • Perform monthly bank reconciliations;
  • Complete property and sales and use tax filings;
  • Assist with accounts payable processing;
  • As an advanced user of the accounting and accounts payable software systems, provide training to end users, configure and test updates, and troubleshoot issues;
  • Communicate with other departments to obtain information required for accounting analysis;
  • Identify and implement process improvements proactively;
  • Prepare ad-hoc reports and analysis independently;
  • Contribute to department and firmwide special projects, collaborating with key personnel in various departments as appropriate.

Qualifications

  • This position requires strong written and verbal communication skills, superior attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to multi-task and prioritize.
  • The candidate must have strong technology skills, including intermediate to expert level Excel skills, and ability to master and leverage accounting systems and new technology solutions.

Experience

  • A four-year degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field is required.
  • 1-2 years of accounting experience is preferred.
  • Experience designing and implementing process improvements preferred.

Compensation & Benefits:

The annual compensation range for this position is $70-85k. The salary offered within this range will depend upon qualifications and other operational considerations.
