Based in New York, Washington, D.C., San Francisco or Los Angeles, the Client Development Specialist will be responsible for driving business development and enhancing visibility initiatives for our lawyers within the white-collar and regulatory practices. The specialist will work in close collaboration with the Senior Client Development Manager and other members of the Litigation Business Development team to foster growth and support comprehensive marketing efforts. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the strategic direction and success of our practice areas.

This role reports to the Client Development Manager.

Responsibilities include:

  • Assisting in the strategic development and marketing efforts for white-collar litigation practices, ensuring alignment with both practice-wide and individual partner business objectives.
  • Collaborating with lawyers and business development team members to prepare compelling pitches and proposals, track activity, and assist with submissions to legal ranking publications. Creating and maintaining customized pitch documents, standardized pitch decks, matter descriptions, and other relevant content.
  • Enhancing the visibility of the practice and individual lawyers through organizing and supporting webinars, conferences, sponsorships, professional association memberships, speaking engagements, and other promotional opportunities.
  • Providing guidance and support for client relationship activities, including event planning and execution, as well as identifying new business opportunities.
  • Working closely with the Senior Client Development Manager and Market Intelligence team on client targeting initiatives and research reports, supporting both individual pitches and broader strategic projects.
  • Collaborating with the Market Intelligence, CRM, and Directories teams to ensure the maintenance of high-quality client data for relevant deliverables.
  • Actively contributing to the growth and development of the client development team, fostering a collaborative work environment.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent project management and time management skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and make sound, independent judgments.
  • Strong interpersonal skills; ability to interact comfortably with attorneys.

Experience

  • University degree required.
  • 3-5+ years of experience in professional services, with a focus on white collar and regulatory practices preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Compensation & Benefits:

The annual compensation range for this position is $100-120k. The salary offered within this range will depend upon qualifications and other operational considerations.
