Copy Center/Mailroom Clerk

Based in Washington, D.C., the Copy Center/Mailroom Clerk will be responsible for handling the daily activities for both the Copy Center and Mailroom departments providing backup whenever necessary.
This role reports to the Coordinator, Mailroom & Copy Center.
**The hours for this role are Mon – Fri 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM ET.
Responsibilities include:
- Scanning documents using eCopy.
- High volume blowbacks/batch printing software.
- Creating custom tabs and folders.
- Copying, binding and cutting.
- Navigating through network drives.
- Inputting costs into our electronic billing log for services rendered.
- Electronic Bates stamping.
- Burning CDs/DVDs from network drives.
- Maintaining proficiency in the use of a postage machine and facsimile equipment.
- Processing UPS, Fed Ex and USPS shipments using firm approved software.
- Troubleshooting equipment failures and contacting appropriate vendor(s) for repair.
- Daily operations of firm’s shipping vendors, including billing discrepancies, delays, lost packages and tracking issues.
- Maintaining supplies for department.
- Maintaining excellent quality control.
Qualifications
- Must be well organized and be able to efficiently and effectively produce error free work product.
- Must demonstrate excellent customer service and communication skills including the ability to exhibit a good telephone demeanor and excellent grammar, punctuation and spelling skills.
- Must be able to demonstrate a high level of diplomacy, professionalism and courtesy when working with internal and external clients.
- Must be well organized and able to juggle multiple tasks to meet various client’s deadlines.
- Must be dependable, reliable, prioritize work and effectively manage their time in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to spend extended periods of time standing while performing duties and lift a maximum of 30 lbs.
- Ability to work overtime as necessary.
Experience
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Ideal candidate will also have experience in a law firm or other legal organization requiring multi-tasking and a high degree of accuracy.
- Must be conversant with Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Office 2019, Adobe Acrobat, Excel, Word and have with batch printing/print management applications (i.e. – Doc-Buster, Law batch print).
- Prior experience in a customer service environment.
- High volume printing and computer related experience from a legal environment.

Compensation & Benefits:
The annual compensation range for this position is $60-70k. The salary offered within this range will depend upon qualifications and other operational considerations.
