Based in Dallas, the Litigation department is seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to assist our attorneys with a wide variety of tasks and projects.

This role reports to the Manager, Paralegal Services.

 

Responsibilities include:

  • Assist Attorneys in all phases of litigation from case initiation through trial.
  • Assist with calendaring case deadlines.
  • Assist with and draft court filings and preparations in federal courts and Texas state courts.
  • Assist with document collection, organization, review, and productions.
  • Assist with drafting and responding to discovery requests.
  • Proofread court briefs and discovery documents.
  • Assist with deposition, meeting, or interview preparations.
  • Assist with all aspects of trial and arbitration preparations.
  • Ability to travel and attend trials and arbitrations.
  • Cite-check references and/or caselaw in briefs.
  • Prepare various charts and indices.
  • Coordinate with external vendors.
  • Perform various day-to-day case management tasks.
  • Mentor and provide guidance to junior paralegals and legal assistants as needed.
  • Other tasks and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Proficient with Texas and Federal Rules of Civil Procedure.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Adobe.
  • Experience with eDiscovery Databases (Relativity, LiveNote, etc.).
  • Excellent organizational skills and a strong attention to detail.
  • Flexible and able to multi-task, balancing priorities and tight deadlines.
  • Proactive and able to handle efficiently handle multiple projects and client matters simultaneously.
  • Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Superior analytical and reasoning abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with members across multiple offices.
  • Willingness to work paid overtime as needed.

Experience

  • 5+ Years’ Experience
  • Paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program preferred.
  • Bachelor’s Degree Required.

Compensation & Benefits:

The annual compensation range for this position is $115,000-130,000. The salary offered within this range will depend upon qualifications and other operational considerations.
