Based in our Denver, Houston, or Dallas offices, the Conflicts/New Matters Intake Clerk will be responsible for working closely with firm attorneys, other New Matters Intake Clerks, Conflicts Clerks, Analysts, and the Intake/Conflicts Manager, as well as other members of the New Business Intake Department.
The position requires acute attention to detail, accuracy, as well as organizational and researching capabilities. This position is responsible for upholding the standards of quality, consistency, accuracy, thoroughness, and customer service as defined and implemented by the Department.
This role reports to the Intake/Conflicts Manager.
**The hours for this role are Mon – Fri 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM.
Responsibilities include:
- Reviewing and processing new client and matter intake documents.
- Reviewing and inputting client and matter information into client/matter database.
- Reviewing and processing client / matter updates including but not limited to matter closures, reactivations, add party requests and relationship partner updates.
- Conducting research on new intake requests against the Firm’s conflicts database and other resources.
- Data entry, search and analysis of new matter data and new matter intake systems in accordance with Firm policies and procedures
- Following-up on conflict issues with Partners, Intake/Conflicts Manager, Office of General Counsel as well as other Firm personnel as necessary.
- Performing data analysis and identify possible issues and notify the requesting attorney or other appropriate party as needed.
- Heavy data entry and other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications

- Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Must be extremely detailed oriented, organized and have great follow through skills.
- Must be able to juggle and prioritize multiple projects while adhering to established procedures.
- Must be able to maintain strict confidentiality.
- Ability to work overtime as necessary.
Experience
- 1-2 years of legal conflicts experience in a large firm preferable and/or studies in areas directly applicable to the duties described above (e.g. records/paralegal/legal assistant).
- Knowledge of, and experience using Intapp and CMS/Aderant a plus.

Compensation & Benefits:
The annual compensation range for this position is $70-75k. The salary offered within this range will depend upon qualifications and other operational considerations.
