Based in the Washington, D.C. office, the Office Coordinator will be primarily responsible for supporting the DC office in a variety of areas including, but not limited to, local recruiting and onboarding, event coordination, and general office administrative support for the local office.
This role will report into the Washington, D.C. Director of Administration.
Responsibilities include:
- Providing general administrative support to local office by effectively partnering with the local office leadership team and serves as a resource to the DC office.
- Actively seeking to develop strong working relationships with attorneys and staff.
- Working cross-functionally to assist with the coordination of local office events.
- Assisting with local office accounting duties.
- Partnering with the office leadership team to provide recruiting support for local staff positions in the DC office.
- Leveraging the Firm’s applicant tracking system, viRecruit, to effectively manage open positions and candidates.
- Reviewing applications, scheduling interviews, completing pre-employment checks and other recruiting related tasks for local DC staff positions.
- Entering new hires into the Firm’s onboarding platform and partners with members across various departments to ensure new hires are setup correctly and timely.
- Assisting with the new hire orientations and assists with the completion and review of I-9 forms.
- Coordinating federal, state and city labor law posters for the DC office to ensure compliance.
Qualifications
- Capable of maintaining confidentiality of personal and highly sensitive information.
- Effective communication skills (written and verbal) to interact with all levels of leadership.
- Strong organizational skills with ability to prioritize multiple tasks and priorities, while meeting deadlines of fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Demonstrated knowledge of general Human Resources practices and principles and federal and state regulations.
- Critical thinking and sound judgment with ability to analyse and resolve problems.
- Demonstrated high level of proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
- Ability to work overtime as necessary.
Experience
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent relevant work experience required.
- Minimum of two years of administrative experience is preferred, prior experience in law firm or professional services environment is a plus.
- Experience with onboarding platforms, such as SilkRoad, and applicant tracking systems, particularly viRecruit, strongly desired.

Compensation & Benefits:
The annual compensation range for this position is $55 – 70k. The salary offered within this range will depend upon qualifications and other operational considerations.
