Based in Los Angeles, the Senior Legal Executive Assistant will support two senior partners who, in addition to their legal practices, hold leadership roles within the firm that require specialized assistance beyond typical administrative tasks. While this is primarily a two-on-one support relationship, the position will involve close collaboration with other departments throughout the firm.
The Senior Legal Executive Assistant is responsible for delivering the highest level of administrative support, client engagement, and practice coordination. Key responsibilities include preparing client and partner presentations, coordinating research requests, tracking outreach, following up on deliverables, and managing special projects as needed. This role will also work closely with practice management and other teams, occasionally providing additional support on broader initiatives.
This role reports to the Director of Administration, taking daily direction from their assigned partners.
Responsibilities include:
- Demonstrating ability to move beyond the transactional (calendar management, expenses, travel) to focus on the strategic. For example, actively managing a partner’s email inbox, strategic business travel planning including recommending meetings with clients/contacts and collaborating with finance and designated partners on client matter management.
- Collaborating closely with assigned partners to effectively manage day-to-day coordination of the partner’s respective practices.

- Managing a broad range of complex administrative duties, such as scheduling meetings, preparing reports and meeting materials, entering time, editing documents, furnishing information, responding to routine correspondence, assisting with technical support, processing expense reports, and answering telephone calls.
- Managing client onboarding, billing, and relationship management activities.
- Assisting with high-end client entertainment and development activities as needed.
- Organizing complex domestic/international travel arrangements, with detailed itineraries both personal and professional. Coordinate flights, hotel accommodations, car service, visas, dining reservations, etc.
- Assisting and supporting the creation of internal and external presentations including but not limited to client presentations and department report-outs.
- Coordinating and assisting with internal and external information and research gathering to support meetings and events.
- Providing support for internal and external firm programming, including but not limited to Diversity and Pro Bono partnerships with clients and community organizations.
- Liaising regularly with other firm departments to ensure the smooth operation of the partner’s business.
Qualifications
- Continual attention to detail in composing, typing, and proofing materials, establishing priorities and meeting deadlines.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to juggle multiple competing tasks and demands.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication and people skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders and clients.
- Collaboration and facilitation skills to work with various departments and facilitate their ability to work with each other.
- Ability to work independently and with a team, and to delegate and manage resources effectively.
- Exhibit high degree of initiative and critical-thinking skills in exercising independent judgment and making decisions in managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven, detail-oriented work environment.

Experience
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- 5 years of relevant experience supporting partners in leadership roles or c-suite executives in financial and/or professional services required.
- Experience working with litigation partners or teams preferred
- Highly skilled in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to quickly learn and utilize industry specific computer applications.

Compensation & Benefits:
The annual compensation range for this position is $105K -$130K. The salary offered within this range will depend upon qualifications and other operational considerations.
