Role Overview

Join our team in Riyadh as an Associate focusing on Capital Markets, where you’ll play a pivotal role in high-stakes transactions and shape the future of capital markets in the region. Working across our Middle East offices, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with our legal experts in the UAE, Europe and the US to broaden your professional experience and network.

In this role, you will be responsible for conducting thorough legal due diligence and analysis for potential capital market transactions. You will draft, review, and negotiate offering and transaction documents, such as prospectuses and underwriting agreements. Additionally, you will assist in structuring and negotiating deal terms to align with client objectives and regulatory requirements. Coordination with internal and external stakeholders, including financial advisors and regulatory bodies, will be essential to ensure smooth transaction execution. You will also monitor legal and regulatory developments that may impact capital market activities, support senior team members in client meetings and presentations, and maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant legal, regulatory, and industry trends.

To be successful in this role, you will have excellent academics from a top tier law school:

  • LLB from a Saudi university, an LLM from a recognized academic institution in the US or UK and an admission to practice in Saudi in accordance with Saudi Bar Association requirements, an admission to practice in England & Wales in accordance with SRA rules or admission to practice in a US State in accordance with applicable State bar rules.
  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from the US and an admission to practice in either a US State in accordance with applicable State bar rules or an admission to practice in Saudi in accordance with Saudi Bar Association requirements;
  • LLB from the UK, and an admission to practice in England & Wales in accordance with SRA rules or an admission to practice in Saudi in accordance with Saudi Bar Association requirements or an admission to practice in either a US State in accordance with applicable State bar rules.
  • Qualification through other jurisdictions will be considered.

You will have 3-5 years of experience in capital markets, preferably within a top-tier law firm. Strong legal drafting and negotiation skills, excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, and outstanding communication and interpersonal skills are essential.

You will be proactive and detail-oriented, capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously. Fluency in English and Arabic are required. A strong understanding of the Saudi Arabian legal and regulatory environment is advantageous.
