Job Summary

Gibson Dunn is currently seeking associates to join their Data Privacy/Technology practice in Munich.

Gibson Dunn’s global Privacy, Cybersecurity and Data Innovation Practice Group has a demonstrated history of helping companies successfully navigate the complex and rapidly evolving laws, regulations, and industry best practices relating to data protection, cybersecurity and data innovation.

Our German practice advises on all questions of German and EU data protection law, including the GDPR, and has broad experience in advising on:  data protection compliance strategies, including in innovative data- and technology-based business models, defending companies in regulatory investigations by data protection authorities, and in privacy-related litigation, counseling at the intersection of privacy and antitrust laws with data, innovation and technology, advising on data protection aspects of internal and government investigations and leniency proceedings, advising clients in international cross-border privacy challenges, in particular in internal cross-border data flows as well as in discovery proceedings and litigation, in the EU, the U.S. and globally, coordinating breach notification responses and other regulatory obligations, responding to privacy complaints or requests from individuals, and advising on all aspects of innovation-, technology, and data-based businesses and transactions.

Successful candidates will be German qualified, fluent in English, have an entrepreneurial and hands-on approach and be interested in joining a dynamic and growing practice in a top international law firm.
