Sophia Amir is an associate in the Los Angeles office of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher. She practices in the firm’s Litigation Department.
Sophia earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Chicago, where she studied as a Hispanic Scholarship Fund Scholar and within the Ellen S. and George A. Poole III Scholars and Fellows Program. She also received the Ann Watson Barber Outstanding Service Award for contributing to the quality of student life at the Law School. During law school, she worked on dispositive motions briefing for the Edwin F. Mandel Legal Aid Clinic’s Criminal and Juvenile Justice Project. Sophia was also an Equal Justice America Summer Fellow.
Prior to attending law school, Sophia received a Bachelor of Arts degree in American Literature & Culture from UCLA, where she graduated summa cum laude from the College Honors Program in 2020. During college, Sophia served as a legal intern at a plaintiffs’ law firm.
Sophia is a member of the California Bar. She is also admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California.
