Paavni Anand is a corporate associate in the London office of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher. She is a member of the firm’s Mergers and Acquisitions and Private Equity Practice Groups.
Paavni advises on private equity, corporate and M&A transactions including growth equity and control investments, co-investments and strategic cross border M&A transactions. She represents clients across a range of sectors including renewable energy, technology, biotechnology and pharmaceuticals.
Prior to joining the firm, she worked in the private equity and mergers and acquisitions practice group of a leading Indian law firm in Mumbai.

- KKR on its acquisition of Clinisupplies, a market leader in continence care products in the UK, from Healthium.
- L&T on its divestiture to Schneider Electric of its electrical and automation business, in India, Saudi Arabia, Malaysia, Indonesia, Australia and UAE ($2bn), by way of a business transfer.
- TPG, including on its:
- investment in Jio Platforms ($600mn), which holds India’s largest mobile network operator and Reliance’s digital businesses, as part of the largest series of foreign investments in India of 2020.
- investment in Reliance Retail Ventures ($200mn), India’s largest retailer by revenue.
- majority investment and subsequent investment in Fourth Partner Energy, an Indian distributed solar energy company ($85mn).
- co-investment with Norfund in Fourth Partner Energy ($125mn).
- Altico Capital, an Indian NBFC advancing loans primarily in the real estate sector, on corporate governance matters, following its default in its borrowings and consequent credit rating downgrade.
