Abeer Bokhari is an associate in Gibson Dunn's Riyadh office. Abeer’s practice focuses on regulatory, public policy and corporate law. She regularly advises clients on various matters relating to government initiatives and projects.
Prior to joining Gibson Dunn, Abeer was an associate based in the Riyadh office of a Magic Circle law firm. She completed her law degree at King Abdulaziz University in 2014 before completing her master’s degree at George Washington University in 2016. Abeer is admitted to practice law in Saudi Arabia. She is a native Arabic speaker and is also fluent in English.
Representative Experience
- The Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources on preparing the legal reform program for the industrial sector in light of the National Strategy for Industry.
- Advising NEOM on the setup of its legislative and regulatory framework, including the development of its legislative policies, the preparation of legislations for the special zone, and the preparation of the constitutive documents of NEOM-affiliated bodies.
- A Saudi Arabian government entity on establishing presence and branches abroad including consultancy and legal services in the tourism marketing sector and international offices.
- Advising a Middle Eastern Sovereign Wealth Fund on setting up a logistics free zone.
- The Red Sea Global in connection with the regulatory structure for a new special zone in the Kingdom and the regulatory enablers required for the Red Sea project and in connection with drafting various sectoral laws and regulations.
- Advising a Saudi Arabian Ministry (through a consultant) in relation to informal Settlements Solution List.
