Laura E. Edwards is an associate in the Washington, D.C. office of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher, where she is a member of the Finance Practice Group focusing on loan and other debt financing transactions. Her practice primarily involves representation of corporate borrowers, private equity sponsors and banks in connection with secured and unsecured lending transactions, direct and syndicated loans, senior and subordinated debt financings, acquisition financings and note issuances.
Prior to joining Gibson Dunn, Laura practiced with the firm Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP as a member of the Structured Finance and Derivatives practice group from 2015 to 2021 during which time she represented asset managers, underwriters and issuers in structured securities offerings and represented public and private companies, private equity firms, private funds and insolvent companies with the documentation and regulation of over-the-counter derivatives, including foreign exchange and interest rate swaps, forwards, options, total return swaps and equity derivatives, both in commercial and structured finance contexts.
