Associate Attorney

Chelsea D’Olivo is an associate in the Washington D.C. office of Gibson Dunn. Her practice focuses on white collar defense, investigations, and corporate compliance.

Chelsea represents clients in internal and government investigations related to the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA), False Claims Act (FCA), accounting and securities fraud, and antitrust laws. She has successfully defended U.S. and global companies in criminal and civil investigations conducted by the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) and U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).

Chelsea also advises clients regarding corporate compliance. She has counseled corporations on the design and implementation of their compliance programs, managed targeted risk assessments, and conducted transactional due diligence with an emphasis on anti-corruption laws.

Chelsea has represented companies and individuals across a variety of industries, including those in the pharmaceutical, medical device, health care, consumer products, telecommunications, and financial services industries, among others. Her practice has covered conduct in the Americas, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia.

Representative matters include:

  • Represented a biotechnology company in FCPA investigations by DOJ and the SEC regarding conduct in the Middle East and Asia
  • Represented a pharmaceutical and medical device company in securities fraud and FCPA investigations by DOJ and the SEC regarding conduct in Asia
  • Represented a medical device company in FCPA investigations by DOJ regarding interactions with distributors and health care providers in China
  • Represented a pharmaceutical and medical device company in the evaluation of its compliance with, and reporting obligations pursuant to, a government resolution
  • Conducted anti-corruption due diligence for a multi-million-dollar acquisition of a biopharmaceutical company
  • Represented a hospital and health care services provider in FCA investigations relating to medical necessity and quality-of-care allegations
  • Represented a health care services company in an antitrust investigation by DOJ regarding no-poach agreements
  • Represented a company in an antitrust investigation regarding price fixing and market allocation

Chelsea received her Juris Doctor from the University of Virginia School of Law in 2016, where she served on the Editorial Board of the Journal of Law & Politics. Chelsea graduated from Miami University of Ohio in 2011 after three years of undergraduate coursework. She received a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science summa cum laude and a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and Health summa cum laude. Prior to attending law school, Chelsea worked as the National Dealer Manager for Road ID.

Chelsea is admitted to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia and the District of Columbia.
