Mason Gauch is an associate in Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher’s Houston office, and a member of the International Trade Practice Group. His practice primarily focuses on international trade and national security. Mason advises clients on a range of matters, including navigating export controls under the ITAR and EAR, global economic sanctions, compliance risk assessments, and CFIUS review. He routinely advocates before government regulators such as OFAC and CFIUS and has secured licenses and approvals, responded to administrative subpoenas, and engaged in various other agency-engagement efforts to further client interests. He also regularly conducts due diligence reviews of corporate transactions from an international trade perspective. Mason maintains an active pro bono practice, including providing legal advice to clients in connection with their asylum proceedings.
Mason received his law degree received from The University of Michigan Law School in 2022, where he served as an editor of the Michigan Business and Entrepreneurial Law Review. In 2014, he graduated magna cum laude from The Ohio State University, where he received a Bachelor of Arts in English.
He is admitted to practice law in the State of Texas.
