Kate Googins is an associate in the Los Angeles office of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher and practices in the firm’s Litigation Department.
Kate received her law degree from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law in 2021, where she graduated in the top 2% of her class and was elected to the Order of the Coif. Upon graduation, Kate was awarded the Melanie Hardaway Memorial Award for Outstanding Graduate, given to the law students who made the greatest overall contributions to the law school. While in law school, Kate externed for a judge on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit and externed with the Consumer Protection Unit of the Colorado Attorney General’s Office.
Prior to law school, Kate worked in volunteer management for Girl Scouts San Diego and Girl Scouts of Colorado. She received her Bachelor of Arts, with honors, in Anthropology from the University of Chicago.
Kate is admitted to practice law in the State of California and the State of Colorado.
