Maximilian Kornwachs is an associate in the Munich office of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher. He is a member of the firm’s Litigation Practice Group.
Maximilian advises clients on German and international commercial arbitration and complex litigation matters.
He studied law at the Humboldt-University of Berlin and the University of Sydney, Australia, earning his law degree in 2017. He obtained his Master of Laws (LL.M.) from the University of Cape Town, South Africa, in 2019 where Maximilian specialized in Alternative Dispute Resolution and International Law. Before and during his legal clerkship, he gained experience in a leading international strategy consulting firm and several renowned international law firms. Maximilian passed his second state examination at the Higher Regional Court of Munich in 2022 and has been admitted as a German lawyer (Rechtsanwalt) since 2023.
Maximilian speaks German and English.
