Roark Luskin is an associate in the Los Angeles Office of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher. She practices in the firm’s Litigation Department, and in its Media, Entertainment & Technology, Trials, Labor & Employment, and Class Action Law Groups.
Roark has experience representing clients in a variety of complex litigation in both state and federal court, including at trial. Her experience includes consumer class actions, breach of contract and profit participation claims, and representing employers against discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and wage and hour claims.
Roark earned her law degree from the University of Southern California Gould School of Law, where she was elected to the Order of the Coif, served as an Executive Senior Editor of the Southern California Law Review, and was a Teaching Fellow in the Legal Writing and Advocacy Program.
Recent representative matters include:
- Secured an across-the-board defense verdict for TikTok in $350 million trademark infringement jury trial.
- Helped secure summary adjudication for AMC on good faith and fair dealing claim in state-court action concerning the television series The Walking Dead. Roark currently represents AMC in connection with another The Walking Dead litigation in federal court in California.
- Represented a large television studio in an arbitration concerning a profit participation action brought by one of the shows’ creators.
- Represented a well-known network in an arbitration related to a reality television series.
- Defeated certification in full of a class of printer owners bringing claims relating to the use of color ink in printing.
