Hayden McGovern is an associate in the Dallas office of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher. His practice focuses on various compliance, enforcement and transactional matters.
Mr. McGovern assists clients in conducting internal investigations into potential violations of securities laws, self-regulatory organization rules and bank regulations, responding to examinations, investigations and enforcement proceedings brought by regulators and self-regulatory organizations, and identifying steps necessary to obtain compliance with such laws, rules and regulations. He also has experience advising clients, including security-based swap dealers and designated contract markets, on regulatory and transactional matters relating to derivatives, commodities and securities as well as compliance and implementation issues relating to the Dodd-Frank Act, the Commodity Futures Trading Commission and the Securities and Exchange Commission.
Mr. McGovern earned his law degree from the University of Pennsylvania Law School in 2021, where he served as Editor-in-Chief of the University of Pennsylvania Journal of International Law. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in English from Columbia University in 2018.
