Laura Pond is an associate in the Washington D.C. office of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher.
She practices in the firm’s Tax Practice Group. Laura previously worked as an associate at a large international law firm drafting and negotiating tax provisions in the formation, structuring, and fundraising of investment funds. She also has experience conducting due diligence, preparing and negotiating underwriting and equity distribution agreements, and composing tax disclosure for SEC filings in connection with equity and debt offerings by public REITs.
Laura received her Juris Doctor from Columbia Law School, where she was named a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar. While in law school, she served as Editor-In-Chief of the Columbia Journal of Tax Law. She received her Bachelor of Arts from Swarthmore College. Prior to law school, Laura served as a paralegal in the United States Department of Justice Antitrust and Tax Divisions.
She is admitted to practice in the District of Columbia and the State of New York
