Lindsey Young

Associate Attorney

Lindsey Young is an associate in the Palo Alto office of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher. She is a member of the firm’s Litigation department and has represented clients in a wide variety of securities, data privacy, cybersecurity, and class action matters.

Lindsey has experience in a wide variety of civil litigation matters, with a particular focus on lawsuits alleging breaches of fiduciary duties by directors and advisors, and litigation arising out of mergers, acquisitions, and other corporate disputes. She also regularly advises clients with respect to their privacy policies and data security practices, and has advised companies in the aftermath of large-scale data breach incidents. Lindsey maintains an active pro bono practice as well, focusing her efforts on the issues of animal welfare, immigration remedies, and criminal expungement.

She earned her law degree in 2014 from Stanford Law School, where she was student attorney at the Stanford Community Law Clinic in East Palo Alto, California, President of the Student Animal Legal Defense Fund chapter, and Editor of the Stanford Journal of Animal Law & Policy. Prior to attending law school, she worked in media and consumer behavior research in New York City. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree summa cum laude from Tufts University in 2006 with a major in Psychology and minors in Italian and Media & Communications.
