The Hollywood Reporter named Richard Birns and Nicholas Tomlinson to its Top Dealmakers of 2024, an annual list recognizing “the most impactful and intriguing mergers and acquisitions that reshaped the industry this year — and the executives, reps and lawyers who made them happen.” The list was published on December 9, 2024.

Richard Birns is Co-Chair of Gibson Dunn’s Private Equity Group. He regularly represents private equity firms and companies on domestic and cross-border leveraged buyouts, strategic mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, carve-outs, minority investments and joint ventures.

Nick Tomlinson advises and leads deal teams on a wide range of UK and cross-border private equity, M&A, growth capital and joint venture transactions.  He also advises on management equity incentivisation plans, restructurings and investment banking advisory arrangements.
