Asylum Secured for Syrian Torture Victim
A team of New York Gibson attorneys won an asylum matter on behalf of a Syrian torture victim. The client filed the initial application himself and lost, but in 2015, Gibson Dunn started working on building a strong case for asylum. Last April, the team handled the removal and merits hearing. Recently, the team received the judge’s decision granting asylum, and Immigration and Customs Enforcement (“ICE”) has agreed not to appeal. However, the team is not stopping there. They are now working on applications for his entire family
The team consists of Amer Ahmed, Hanna Chalhoub, former associate Nader Khorassani, and the matter was supervised by Richard Mark. |
