Los Angeles Office Participates in Wilson Global Initiative’s “You Can Read” day at Local School
On May 4, 2018, the Wilson Global Initiative (WGI) kicked off their You Can Read campaign in Los Angeles. WGI was founded in 2014 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, by a 14-year old high school student who was determined to improve literacy among young people throughout the United States and the world. Amazingly, WGI now operates in 7 countries around the world providing free reading classes to students, building digital libraries to increase access, and connecting volunteers in the community to students in need of mentorship. Gibson Dunn’s Hong Kong office has been providing pro bono support to WGI as they expand their footprint in Asia. And, most recently, Gibson Dunn’s Los Angeles office participated in the first You Can Read Day at a local school. |
