New York Team Wins Her Justice’s Legal Team Award

On February 28, 2018, a team of Gibson attorneys was awarded Her Justice’s Commitment to Justice Award for their outstanding representation of their client. The client and her young child had a previous order of removal and were subjected to yearly check-ins with Immigration and Customs Enforcement, Enforcement and Removal Operations Department ("ICE", "ERO"). The team assisted the client with the check-in in New York City, and when she moved to Indiana in 2016, they continued to represent her. In early 2017, the worked to ensure that the client and her child would not be removed by filing a stay of removal. In September 2017, the client and her son’s applications to stay removal were approved.
