Gibson Dunn Secures T Visa for a Victim of Sex Trafficking
In May 2018, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services granted a Gibson Dunn client a T Visa. Over the course of our representation, the Gibson Dunn team developed a record demonstrating that the client, who was originally from China, was forced into sex trafficking in the United States. Gibson Dunn’s representation included preparing and submitting the T Visa application to Citizenship & Immigration Services, and aiding the client in her interviews before the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York. Now that the T Visa has been granted, our client may remain in the United States, and eventually apply for lawful permanent residency.
The client was referred to Gibson Dunn by Sanctuary for Families; Richard Mark supervised this matter, associates that assisted on this matter include Alex Zbrozek and Royce Zeisler, and former associates Beatrice Hahn and Mark Epstein. |
